from December 11, 2024 to December 12, 2024
On December 11 and 12, the University of Salerno hosted the Work Package 2 (Improving Teaching and Learning) "NEOLAiA Degree Contents Bootcamp," a flagship event that brought together academic committees composed of faculty and administrative staff from the nine European universities within the NEOLAiA Alliance.
To lay the foundation for three future innovative international degrees that are interdisciplinary and tailored to the challenges of modern society:
Two multiple master’s programs: "Studies on Inclusion" and "Artificial Intelligence and Social Robotics Applied to Global Health."
A joint bachelor’s program: "Science, Management, and Policy for Leaders in the Global Health Industry."
These two days were structured around plenary sessions and parallel working groups focused on designing content and implementation strategies.
Participants delved into various topics such as curriculum content, innovative teaching methods, mobility opportunities, and the challenges of accreditation in different national frameworks. This hands-on approach enabled the academic committees to kick off their work while ensuring that each university contributed its unique perspective and expertise. Discussions highlighted the Alliance’s shared commitment to inclusion and interdisciplinarity in higher education.
By the end of the event, participants had identified the macrostructures and key content for the degree programs, paving the way for the ultimate goal: launching the three degree programs in September 2026.
Collaboration among our European higher education institutions will continue in the coming months to finalize and bring these new training programs to life.
