from November 26, 2024 to November 28, 2024
On November 26-28, 2024, the University of Tours hosted 30 partners from the NEOLAiA alliance for the Work Package 5: Increasing Regional Research Impact days.
During the days, the WP5 delegates assessed the key project actions of the work package 5: mapping NEOLAiA’s research synergies and infrastructures, launching a mentoring program and seminars for young researchers by 2025, initiating first working groups dedicated to research support missions, defining a common framework for research within NEOLAiA
The WP5 days also included a two-day seminar focused on the development of HRS4R (Human Resources Strategy for Researchers) policies within the alliance. The goal is to support NEOLAiA partners in obtaining the HR Excellence in Research Award. The seminar included a presentation of the new HRS4R policy framework by two European Commission experts.
Among several highlights, an opening session on the role of research within European university alliances was delivered by Ludovic Thilly, Vice-Rector for the European University EC2U and European Networks at the University of Poitiers, and General Coordinator of the EC2U alliance. Participants also attended various visits and presentations of research infrastructures and units at the University of Tours, particularly in the fields of science and technology.
On November 28, the event concluded with the NEOLAiA Living Lab Hub seminar. For this occasion, NEOLAiA partners were welcomed at MAME by the teams from the Use Tech Lab, a health and technology living lab of the University of Tours. The seminar showcased existing living labs and collaborative platforms within the alliance, as well as participatory and collaborative research projects focusing on health and environmental transition challenges. The main objective of the Living Lab Hub is to strengthen the involvement of non-academic regional stakeholders in NEOLAiA research projects.
All content from the event will soon be available on the NEOLAiA European University website.
Work Package 5 is led by Örebro University, with the University of Tours responsible for two key tasks: the creation of Expert Support Teams (to foster research support and HRS4R), and the development of collaborative and participatory research through the NEOLAiA Living Lab Hub.
